The proposal of the Digital Innovation Lab, which results from this partnetship, is to connect the different areas to the innovation ecosystem. The first project in this context was completed in 2020, and two more are underway.
In 2020, R&D resources totaled R$ 24.8 million, of which about 70% was allocated in projects of solar generation, regulatory security for marketing, combating the pandemic and post-Covid resumption.
Electric mobility | In 2020, CTG Brasil began to develop a project that will connect its headquarters, the plants installed along the Paranapanema River and the Ilha Solteira and Jupiá HPPs. The initiative foresees the installation of 18 electric vehicle charging station along the route and the acquisition of seven electric vehicles.
Solar technology | A partnership with Senai and the Federal Universities of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and the São Paulo State University (UNESP) will test components of solar farms in Brazilian real climate conditions. The project started in May 2020 has a duration of two years and a total cost of R$ 8 million.
Sustainable tourism | CTG Brasil launched the Challenge of Innovations in Sustainable Tourism in 2020, which mapped trends in social innovation in the theme and recognized transformative proposals. Of the 197 proposals entered in the challenge, 3 were selected and received R$ 100,000 each, in addition to undergoing an acceleration and mentoring process throughout 2021.
