CTG Brasil continuously monitors almost 8,500 kilometers of the edges of its reservoirs, a slightly greater distance than that of the Brazilian coast.

Programs for the environmental conservation of these areas include the engagement of communities and partners, the restocking of fish in rivers and forestry, with the distribution of tree seedlings, among other action fronts.

All initiatives are conducted in accordance with the Environmental Management Plans (EMP) or Basic Environmental Plans (BEP), approved by environmental licensing bodies. Monitoring of flora, fauna and ichthyofauna (fish species) generate bioindicators to measure the effectiveness of the techniques implemented over the years. In 2020, the company reforested 156 hectares, an area equivalent to that of Ibirapuera Park, in the city of São Paulo (SP). The reforested area in 2020, although 35% smaller than the previous period, represents 100% of the goal defined in conjunction with environmental agencies.
