Until 2038, 34 generating units will be modernized (20 from Ilha Solteira and 14 from Jupiá), allowing for a leap in efficiency and productivity, with new technologies developed by the electricity sector. The project has an estimated total investment of around R$ 3 billion.
In addition to modernizing the generating units, CTG Brasil is investing in the assembly and installation of the Generation Operation Center (GOC), which will be located at the Ilha Solteira plant. With automation equipment and remote control, the GOC will be able to centrally coordinate the operation of the company’s generation complex, with maximum efficiency, safety and productivity. Scheduled for completion in 2021, the Ilha Solteira GOC will start operating gradually, as planned, until the complete integration of the generating complex.
