CTG Brasil launches new notice to encourage social projects
With applications open until October 17, the initiative seeks to sponsor projects that contribute to the local development of communities in the area where the Company operates.
4 de outubro de 2022- CTG Brasil, one of the leaders in clean energy generation in the country, is launching its 3rd Call for Incentive Resources for Local Development. The purpose of the public notice is to financially support projects that contribute to the development of communities that live in the vicinity of the company’s operations. Socio-environmental, cultural and sports organizations will be able to present their proposals for analysis and register until October 17th.
Civil society organizations (OSCs), for-profit organizations (private companies), Councils for the Rights of Children and Adolescents and Councils for the Rights of the Elderly or Public Organizations executing projects that have been approved by the respective Councils can participate. The proposing organizations must have at least three years of activities focused on sports or culture, serving children, adolescents and the elderly. Initiatives that work transversally with access to training and opportunities in the job market, especially with a focus on minority groups and/or in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability, will be prioritized.
The Incentive Laws covered by the announcement are: Federal Law of Incentive to Culture (Law 8.313/1991); Federal Sports Incentive Law (Law 11,438/2006); Incentive Law for Funds for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (Law 8069/1990); Incentive Law for Funds for the Rights of the Elderly (Law 12.213/2010).
In 2021, in the 2nd notice released by CTG Brasil, the company allocated BRL 11.3 million to 22 selected projects. The initiatives covered 91 cities in seven Brazilian states, and benefited more than 55,000 people of all age groups. This year, the company intends to expand the benefited cities, considering those located in the northeast region and in the state of Minas Gerais.
