São Manoel HPP

São Manoel hydroelectric power plant is located on the Teles Pires River, on the border between the states of Mato Grosso and Pará.

São Manoel hydroelectric power plant was built in the Teles Pires river basin as a run-of-river plant, that is, it works through a technology that makes it possible to produce energy through a low volume of accumulated water.

End of concession: December 9, 2049
CTG Brasil’s share: 33%


Energy generation in 2022: 3,348,975.20 MWh

The plant generated, on average, enough energy to supply a city with about 1,1million inhabitants.
