Rosana HPP

Located between the cities of Rosana (SP) and Diamante do Norte (PR), Rosana Hydroelectric Power Plant is the closest to the mouth of the Paraná River.

Last of the hydroelectric power plants along the Paranapanema River, near where this river meets the Paraná river, Rosana HPP entered operation in 1987 and today has four Kaplan-type turbines. The hydroelectric power plant contributes to improve the environmental quality of the region through the restoration of the Atlantic Forest.

Energy generation in 2022: 1,337,928.39 MWh

The power plant generated, on average, enough energy to supply a city with about 458 thousand inhabitants.
