Retiro SHPP

Located on the Sapucaí-Mirim River, State of São Paulo, Retiro Small Hydroelectric Power Plant (SHPP) generated, in 2021, energy to supply a city with about 6,500 inhabitants.

Retiro Small Hydroelectric Power Plant, together with Palmeiras SHPP, is part of the National Interconnected System, that meets the energy demand from all over the country. Both CTG Brasil plants stand out for their high technology employed in operation and safety.

Energy Generation in 2022: 46,981.10 MWh

The SHP generated, on average, enough energy to supply a city with about 16 thousand inhabitants.

Commitment with the environment

The CTG Brasil’s Forest Program restored 952 hectares of native forest in the Sapucaí-Mirim basin. A total of 1.6 million native forest seedlings of 122 species were planted. Through the company’s fishing management program, Sapucaí-Mirim has already received 600,000 new fish of native species selected based on scientific research developed in partnership with UNESP.
