Since June 2016, CTG Brasil has been responsible for the operation of Ilha Solteira HPP. This plant was a milestone in the history of hydroelectric dams in Brazil for its gigantic proportions. The project employed new construction techniques and has contributed, with clean energy, to the rapid growth of the industry and Brazilian cities in the last decades of the 20th century.
Since June 2016, CTG Brasil has been responsible for the operation of Ilha Solteira HPP. This plant was a milestone in the history of hydroelectric dams in Brazil for its gigantic proportions. Since 2019, Ilha Solteira HPP has been in process of modernization, together with Jupiá HPP, in the largest project of plant modernization in progress in Brazil, involving an investment of R$3 billion. The initiative reinforces CTG Brasil’s long-term commitment to the country, contributes to the Brazilian energy sector, and increases the reliability of the plants, which have been generating clean energy for over 40 years.
