Located in the cities of Ferreira Gomes and Porto Grande, State of Amapá, the Cachoeira Caldeirão HPP has investments of about R$1.1 billion.

Cachoeira Caldeirão HPP started its operations in May 2016 and has 100% of its energy ensured by commercialization in the A-5 auction of December 2012.

Energy generation in 2022: 1,052,563.50 MWh

On average, the plant generated energy to supply a city with more than 360 thousand inhabitants.

Located in the Amazon Basin, Cachoeira Caldeirão HPP has a 730m-long dam,  three bulb turbines, and a 52.76km-long reservoir. The dam works with a combination of gate-controlled spillway and a free overfall spillway. The nominal flow of the set is 6,968m³/s. The reservoir dam is made of roller-compacted concrete, with a crest height of 58.30 meters.
