R&D Yearbook 2019 shows overview of 23 R&D projects led by the company, focusing on environmental preservation and operational efficiency
São Paulo, December 5, 2019 – CTG Brasil announces 50% growth over last year in its investments in Research & Development (R&D Aneel). In 2019, the company, which has Innovation as one of its strategic pillars, is investing R$ 12 million in 23 projects, detailed in its R&D Yearbook 2019, which is now available online.
“CTG Brasil has been intensifying the search and incorporation of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, big data, advanced bioprocessing, biotechnology, communication networks and Internet of Things. Our goal is to develop projects that contribute to solving the challenges of the sector, increase safety in power generation and generate value for the whole society, ”says Evandro Vasconcelos, vice president of Generation and Commercialization of the company.
To guide its R&D activities in 2019, CTG Brasil developed a technological road map. According to Vasconcelos, “the work consisted mainly in identifying and mapping the main lines of projects relating to CTG Brasil’s strategy, through workshops and interviews with various areas of the company”. For the next five years, additional investments of at least R$ 100 million are already planned for R&D, as a result of the partnership with the National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI) to create the Clean Energy Innovation Hub, focused on research, development and development projects. and innovation that contribute to the generation of clean energy in Brazil.
