CTG Brasil attends National Seminar of Large Dams

In addition to sponsoring the event, the company will have professionals leading debates and workshops on legislation and tributes on water projects, and dam ruptures

Next week, CTG Brasil participates in the largest dam event in the country. The XXXII National Seminar on Large Dams will be held in Salvador, Bahia, from May 20 to 23, and will bring together experts from different countries to discuss environmental, economic, technical and security issues, technological innovations, legislation, constructive methods, among others.

In conjunction with the Seminar, the Brazilian Committee of Dams (CBDB) also promoted, on the 23rd, the II International Symposium on Dams Safety in partnership with the Chinese National Committee on Large Dams (CHINCOLD), the National Committee on Large Dams (SPANCOLD) and the United States Society on Dams (USSD).

In addition to being one of the main sponsors of the event, CTG Brasil will have professionals from its team participating in debates, roundtables and workshops, discussing various topics and sharing practices and experiences related to legislation and tributes on hydraulic undertakings, effects and implications of ruptures of cascade dams, emergency management, among others. At the company’s booth at the event, visitors will learn more about CTG’s trajectory in Brazil.

“Today Brazil has more than 1,300 hydroelectric dams, which are responsible for the generation of about 65% of the country’s energy, so it is fundamental to address this issue of dams constantly. Meetings and events like this allow us to meet new technologies, exchange experiences and learn from the best practices to operate plants and dams with ever more excellence”, says César Teodoro, Director of Operation & Maintenance.
